# Credits & billing

> How credits work: per-tool costs, top-up packs, rollover, deduction order, refunds, and billing rules for upgrades, downgrades, and cancellation.

Credits are the currency for AI generation in Raddivus. You receive a monthly allowance based on your plan — **50 on Starter, 200 on Professional, and 2,000 on VIP** — and you can buy more at any time. See [Plans and credits](/getting-started/plans-and-credits) for the full comparison.

Reading data, analyzing campaigns, saving, uploading to Meta, and managing folders and brands are all free.

## Rollover and expiration

* **Unused monthly credits roll over** with no cap. Credits from previous months stay in your balance indefinitely.
* **Purchased credits never expire.**
* When credits run out, generation is blocked until you buy more or your next cycle adds new credits.
* If a generation fails, the credits are **refunded automatically**.

## Deduction order

Monthly credits are used first. Purchased credits are used only after your monthly credits are exhausted.

## Top-up packs

One-time purchases. Credits from packs never expire and are added to your balance immediately.

## Billing rules

* **Upgrade mid-cycle:** you receive the difference in credits immediately. Upgrading from Starter to Professional adds 150 credits right away.
* **Monthly or yearly:** yearly plans are billed once for the year and cost the equivalent of 10 months, so you get 2 months free. Your credit allowance is still granted monthly.
* **Downgrade:** takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep your current plan until then.
* **Cancellation:** access continues until the period ends. Purchased credits remain usable. Monthly grants stop.
* **Payment failure:** a grace period of about 7 days allows retries. If all retries fail, the account is canceled and unused monthly credits are frozen until reactivated.
